From Karen Reed:
To Jordan Reed’s Quarterback Coach: Travis C. Meyer...Coach Meyer is and has been a huge influence, both on the field and in my son Jordan's life, and we are truly blessed to have him! He spent countless hours at practice molding Jordan’s skills and many more hours after practice sacrificing his own personal time, pushing him to reach his full potential allowing him to receive numerous scholarship offers to Division 1 colleges. I personally asked Travis to go on the visit to The University of Florida with us as I regard his opinion highly. The coaches offered Travis a job, as they could see the talent Coach Travis has. I still continue to call Travis for his advice, and he continues to relieve my worries. Jordan also reaches out to his coach and I know they have a bond that will last their lifetime.
Thank You Coach Travis C Meyer!

What’s Up With Jordan Reed?
He’s the next Gators Great!
Read this throwback article from The New London Day.
The Gators coaches ranked the top twenty-two offensive and top twenty-two defensive players on the team. At the top of the list, ahead of the brilliantly speedy Chris Rainey and the senior QB, John Brantley, sits Jordan Reed. Because of his athleticism and his size, Jordan is a mismatch for any defense. After playing his redshirt freshman season as the starting tight end as well as sharing snaps at quarterback, he will now focus solely on the tight end position.
Charlie Weis has already said that Jordan is the most athletic tight end he has ever seen. And the Gators’ head coach, Will Muschamp has already singled Jordan out as the hardest worker on the team. He’s a quiet kid who leads through action, something that the new staff has been quick to recognize.
His future is bright, and it’s because of how hard he works. But the adversity he has faced in his past is something that has shaped the young man he has become. Read the article below, which came out in the Fall, prior to his first game as a senior at New London High School. Though he didn’t get to finish the season because of an injury to his foot, he was still an integral part of the Whalers family.
