Elite QB Prep
Training for the top levels of football is a must for quarterbacks. After training several players extensively who became Division I players, Travis privately tutors the best high school quarterbacks in New England as they prepare for the college level.
Currently, Travis is training Tyler Murphy (U. Florida & Boston College) as he prepares to be drafted by an NFL team.
Small group training is offered by Five-Star each winter and spring. And each year, as the number of participants grows, we are able to improve the standard of play for quarterbacks across New England.
The winter session offers one hour of mechanics and drill training and one hour of classroom film and football concepts study.
The spring session offers one hour of mechanics and drill training and one hour of live route throwing. During the second hour, the QBs throw against a live secondary and are able to practice defensive coverage reads.
Individual training is offered by Five-Star for QBs who are looking for the personalized attention only one on one sessions can provide.
During the fall and spring, time and field-space are limited, so training is mostly offered to those who have already been training with us consistently. But during the summer, only individual training is offered.
Five-Star Quarterback Training is owned and operated by Travis Meyer. After seven years as an assistant high school coach in Connecticut, Travis began training QBs privately. In this time, he has trained and mentored over 150 QBs from across New England and New York. Specializing in the finer mechanics of the throwing motion, Travis has developed teaching techniques that have produced four Division I QBs and that have earned the respect of college and NFLcoaches from across the country.
For the past four years, Matt Kelleher has assisted with group training for Five-Star and is now training QBs privately. Matt was a record-setting quarterback for Southington High School. He went on to play for the Yale Bulldogs.
